Subject: WHOOOOOO!!! We're having a BIRTHDAY PARTY on Saturday!
Date: September 11th 2015

Once Upon A Silver Moon is THREE!!

Please join us Saturday, Sept 12 at 4pm for cake-cutting and well-earned pats on the back for making it through the end of our lease!

The landlady wants to go month-to-month from now on, so as far as we know, we’re going to be right here, indefinitely.

This means some heavy introspection about where we’ve been and where we’re going.

To that end, the theme of this party is The High Priestess, number two in the Major Arcana of the tarot. Ande has made some High Priestess oil and the first 30 people to make a purchase will get a FREE GIFT which includes the High Priestess oil, a candle, incense, and a short meditation you can do on your own time to reflect on your own comings and goings.

If you can’t make it at 4pm, we will have home-made cookies and Chex mix all day long so you can still score some snackage and a gift with purchase as soon as we open at 11.

The Red Cup is having some fund-raising event thing from 6-8pm so the parking lot might get a bit congested after 6pm. There is parking on all four sides of the building, as well as on the side streets. Classen Tag Agency at 30th will be closed at 5:30 so you might also park there if the lots are full of Congolese-orphan-supporting Red Cup patrons. If all else fails, park at the Subway on the other side of 7-11.

So yeah, it kind of looks like we might be on our way to having a successful business and even potentially enjoying some longevity. 3 years is a benchmark – we’ve outlived the statistics of the typical small business start up success rate, since less than half of retail stores are still operating three years after they opened. While we’re not out of the woods yet, it kinda sorta looks like mayyyybeeee... maybe this thing might work out, after all.

On the other hand, Ande’s well known for her wanderlust, and a month-to-month arrangement means we could run away and join the circus at any time. So don’t take us for granted, ha ha!!

But we know you need us, and you know that’s a two-way street, so come in and remind us of what it means to you to have a neighborhood metaphysical brick and mortar shop with friendly people ready to assist you. It means the world to us when we hear positive feedback from our patrons.

The Witches’ Almanack should be in Tuesday from Weiser Books, and the Llewellyn Witch’s Calendar, Witch’s Desk Calendar, and Witch’s Almanacs will be in later in the week (possibly Wednesday). We will send out info as soon as they come in. We got a ton of them but you’ll want to snap it up as soon as you can because we usually sell out by Halloween.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for being our customer! We hope to see you Saturday.

This is an announcement list for Once Upon A Silver Moon, a metaphysical shop in Oklahoma City.

Things you can expect from us: a monthly* newsletter, notices about events, the occasional special deal, stuff like that.

We are not real fond of spam, so we will treat your inbox as if it were our own.

Also please follow us on Twitter for random free offers. Twitter is the only place we will announce that kind of stuff. Yeah we know, nobody uses Twitter anymore. But it's still useful because it goes right to your cell phone or email or RSS thingie, whereas if we put out announcements on Facebook, only 14% of our subscribers will even get it in their newsfeed, and then it's immediately swallowed up by political nonsense and cute kittens.

Long story short - only like 5 people ever see our Facebook posts, where 100% of our Twitter followers will get the message. So Twitter it is. And you don't even have to have a Twitter account - use an RSS tool to subscribe!

But you can still "like" us on Facebook. We prefer that you like us in person, too, so come by the shop soon and say hi, pick up a bar of handmade castille soap, just be neighborly. Help us stay in business by, you know, buying something every now and then. That's how it works, right?

We also offer tarot readings, spiritual counselling, confession services, and conjure work such as setting a candle for you. Please enquire if you are interested in these services or would just like to know what "conjure" means. And yes - that's confession, as in "it's been six years since my last confession..."
