Once Upon A Silver Moon

Well, I have installed the NeoBox theme, which is an improvement over the sword… Not too bad looking, really.

The pictures in the header keep changing. Strawberries? What. I better learn how to swap those out pretty soon.

I just want to say one thing about the trend for dark-on-dark graphics: I hope all you hipster web designer persons realize, real soon, that it’s damn hard to see most of your designs. I am 41. I need better contrast with the fonts and backgrounds.

Oh yeah, that rant comes from looking at lots of templates today, both for this site and for the phpBB forum.

Someone asked me to please put a RSS button-thang on the sidebar so they could subscribe to this blog. (WTF are they thinking? LOL)

I’m like, errrrr… I’ll see what I can do. Hoping that it would be fairly painless, I pulled out my magick wand and Googled on how to do it.

Oh. Not so bad.

Evidently, WordPress is so sexy all you have to do is pop up to your Bookmarks function, there in your menu bar, and choose “subscribe to this page”. RSS is built right in. I didn’t have to do a thing. *whew*

I didn’t have a clue what RSS was or did or how it was used until yesterday,  and now I have subscribed to my own blog (this ‘un hyere), my ArtFire blog, and my ArtFire shop.

I am tres cool.

Well. Now that anyone reading this knows how to do it, I’d better get a whole lot of subscribers. See what all you can learn from me? 🙂
